Worried About Your Child Taking Drugs For
Depression? E-Mail Us
Dec. 11— British researchers
are warning that drugs including Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor, Celexa,
Lexapro, and Luvox should not be used in treating depression in
children under 18. The drugs' risks may outweigh their
effectiveness, and some drugs have even been linked to suicide and
other problems.
Are you under 18 and taking one of the drugs listed above? Or are
you a parent with a child who is taking one of these drugs? Do you
worry about the risks that may be associated with these drugs? Will
you consider switching to something more accepted for children under
18, such as Prozac?
